Mobile Dental Services Are Currently at Capacity
Since launching our mobile dental services in partnership with La Clínica de La Raza, we have received an overwhelming response from patients seeking dental care. The level of need in our community has exceeded the number of appointments currently available through the program.
At this time, we are not accepting new registrations for mobile dental services. Patients who have already registered or are currently on our waitlist remain in our system, and our team is working through existing requests as appointments become available.
We understand that waiting for dental care can be frustrating, particularly for those experiencing pain or ongoing dental needs. The Order of Malta Clinic and La Clínica de La Raza are actively evaluating how we can best serve the patients already waiting for care and exploring opportunities to expand access to dental services in the future.

Is the Order of Malta Clinic a dental clinic?
No. The Order of Malta Clinic of Northern California is a free medical clinic that provides primary, preventive and specialty medical care to uninsured and underinsured adults. Dental care is an additional service now available to eligible Clinic patients through our partnership with La Clínica de La Raza.
The mobile dental unit is onsite twice a month, on the first and third Thursdays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Dental services are not available every day and are not offered as a standalone service.
Who is eligible for mobile dental services?
Mobile dental services are available to eligible Order of Malta Clinic patients who are uninsured or underinsured and do not have another primary care provider.
If you already receive primary care from another provider outside of the Order of Malta Clinic, you are not eligible for the Clinic’s mobile dental services.
Do I need to be an Order of Malta Clinic patient?
Yes. You must be an established Order of Malta Clinic patient before you can receive mobile dental services.
If you are not currently a patient, you will first need to schedule a new patient appointment and be seen by an Order of Malta Clinic provider. Once you have established care with the Clinic and meet the eligibility requirements, you may request mobile dental services.

No. Dental appointments are only available to established, eligible Order of Malta Clinic patients.
If you are interested in becoming a patient, please call the Clinic at 510-587-3000 to inquire about scheduling a new patient appointment. You must first be seen by an Order of Malta Clinic provider before becoming eligible to request dental services.
How do I request a dental appointment?
If you are a current Order of Malta Clinic patient and meet the eligibility requirements, please call the Clinic and request mobile dental services. Clinic staff will assist you with the next steps and scheduling.
What dental services are available?
The Mobile Dental Clinic provides a range of routine dental services, including:
Dental exams
X-rays
Cleanings
Fillings
Extractions
Services are provided based on each patient's individual dental needs and the care available through the mobile program.
Is dental care free?
Yes. Mobile dental services are provided at no cost to eligible Order of Malta Clinic patients.
Do I need an appointment? Are walk-ins accepted?
Appointments are required. The Mobile Dental Clinic does not accept walk-ins.
Current Order of Malta Clinic patients should call the Clinic to request dental services. If you are not currently a patient, you must first establish care with the Clinic before becoming eligible for mobile dental services.
When is the Mobile Dental Clinic available?
La Clínica de La Raza’s mobile dental unit visits the Order of Malta Clinic on the first and third Thursday of every month from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Appointments must be scheduled in advance.
